We are so proud of how hard the children are working so far in Year 6. Their work ethic is admirable.
This term we are starting our second part of our Pots and Pyramids topic, focussing on Ancient Greece. Please see details below of websites that can enhance your child’s learning in this area. In English, we will be looking at persuasive and balanced arguments. In Maths, we are continuing our work with factions and will go on to look at co-ordinates, reflection and translation later in the term.
As ever, please try and encourage children to work on their times tables at home, sheets are available from their class teacher and we have provided web links to help.
PE kit must be in everyday to enable us to be flexible with our time table, especially at this time of year due to carol concert rehearsals. Please pack a warm jumper and a water bottle.
The carol concert words will be sent home so that the children can rehearse in their own time.
The Year 6 Christmas party will be on Monday 18th December. A letter will be sent out nearer the time, but please note, that this date is different to the original date on the school date list.
Please make the most of the English and Maths SATS revision guides that we have sent home as they will be very useful to your children to consolidate their learning in class.
The websites below will also help your children to learn around their topic and help with their times tables:
